North Shore Swimming Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The club is registered with USA Swimming and Metropolitan Swimming and has about 230 swimmers ranging from age 6 to 18 and various swimming levels.

Stony Brook University has been home to North Shore Swimming for 30 years. Our club philosophy has always been that the commitment to being a member of our team is beneficial to children and their families, and should be fun and fulfilling. Setting and striving for goals, and working to ultimately achieve them, helps develop a strong work ethic and confidence in the young people we train. The coaching staff is dedicated to not only the improvement of stroke technique and conditioning, but also to the personal character development of the wonderful athletes we work with on a daily basis. Whether children are enrolled in our learn-to-swim program or representing the club at the United States Olympic Team Trials, we provide them with an environment centered around education, improvement, collegiality, achievement, and fun that all children need. North Shore Swimming accepts new members throughout the year.

Directions to the SBU pool: From Nicolls Road, turn at the Main Entrance (left from south, right from north) onto Kenny Drive.  Take a right at the light onto Circle Drive.  Follow Circle Drive around campus, past the train station parking on the right.  Turn left at the stop sign at Gym Road.  Take a quick right, then a quick left, then turn left onto Toll Drive.  You will see the Sports Complex to your left.  Continue until the road ends.  You can drop off your swimmer at the patio on the left.  Enter the building and go to the right.  Click HERE for a downloadable campus map.
